The fire: history, progressive era

My reaction to this fire is that is is terrible. I can not believed this happened to these people. Some as young as 15 and they are jumping out of the 9th floor window. Losing their family's and watching people, friends die, yelling for help. How do they go threw everyday life knowing they were the ones who survived. I would want revenge on the people who let this happen to my family, and friends. The owners of the building locked the escape/exit doors, so people couldn't get out. these factories were not fit for humans. I think all these factories should be shut down and have inspectors come in. Make the owners make the building safe for my friends and family. The towns need to have better fire stations and equipment. their ladders and hoses could not reach the higher up stories where people needed them.We need safe working conditions in our factories and these men who owned this factory Harris and Blanck should be brought to court. There was no justice brought and it took three years for them to settle with just 75 dollars per life lost. This was not enough and i dont feel like these men owned up to their wrong doing.

  1. Good response to the first question posed, but no response to the second: How do the events of the Triangle Factory Fire and its aftermath tie in with what we've learned about the Progressive Era?
